What is an ecosystem?
Ecosystems are different types of climates that living things live in. They can vary dramatically and can be as small as a lake, to as big as a desert. They are found in all places where animals live, and adapt to throughout their life. The animals living in that particular ecosystem rely on each other to live, using the food chain.
For example, a squirrel, lives in the taiga biome, so this means that they can live in a deciduous forest or mountain area, as they have thick coats to keep them warm throughout the year. They also hibernate to conserve energy and keep warm, just like bears.
